About the AAGP/GMHF Corporate Advisory Council
What is the Corporate Advisory Council?
The AAGP/GMHF Corporate Advisory Council provides a unique
forum for leaders of the Association, Foundation, and industry
to discuss the issues impacting older adults with mental illnesses
and health care professionals in the field of geriatric psychiatry.
How does membership in the Corporate Advisory Council
help my company?
Membership in the Corporate Advisory Council provides an
opportunity to share a vision and mission with a community
dedicated to providing optimal treatment and care for late-life
mental disorders. Together with the leaders in the geriatric
psychiatry community, Corporate Advisory Council members help
society succeed in providing effective care and investing
in the future for the patients we serve.
What is the AAGP?
AAGP’s membership includes 2,000 geriatric psychiatrists
and other individuals dedicated to the treatment of late-life
mental disorders. AAGP is the principal organization representing
clinicians, researchers, and educators specialized in late-life
mental illness. In addition to the premier education event,
the AAGP Annual Meeting, and the publication of the leading
geriatric psychiatry journal, American Journal for Geriatric
Psychiatry, the AAGP produces numerous educational programs,
has a robust government affair's initiative, and is called
upon by the media to provide expert opinion.
What is the GMHF?
The GMHF is the only foundation solely dedicated to late-life
mental illness. The GMHF produces and disseminates consumer
education materials on mental health and older adults.
